Bart Tunnell is the owner and operator of Valley Inspection Company, LLC (VICO). He began VICO with the realization that tubular customers and end users require additional QA/QC oversight and Third Party Services that exceed the current service market. 

VICO provides specialized services with a hands-on approach that will ensure compliance to customers’ specific requirements with a focus on individualized attention, integrity and communication.

Bart Tunnell is known for his expertise in API OCTG, API Line Pipe and ASTM steel tubulars with an emphasis on Quality. He is regarded as a knowledgeable, experienced technical service representative in the industry with over 40 years experience.

He spent his formative years working for the oil and gas service industry with an emphasis on Quality Control, including stints with Tuboscope, Halliburton, Maverick Tube, and Joy Pipe. He then spent 18 years in the manufacturing sector, where he held the position of Quality Assurance at Paragon Industries, an API licensed pipe manufacturer, FBE coater and OCTG threading facility. He traveled the country representing Paragon Industries with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and service.

Bart has served on many work committees and industry organizations over the years. As a current member of American Petroleum Institute (API), he serves and votes on various work groups on applicable matters of standards, specifications and recommended practices as it related to tubular products and Quality Management System requirements.
